Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples

After a devastating fire in late 2020 we were retained to rebuild the complete interior and make upgrades the entrance steps and courtyard for the Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples. We peeled back years of changes to reveal the remarkable interior space and emphasize the symbolism in the original design. The renovated and updated Church reflects purity, simplicity, and the Trinity. Additional lights have been designed to to amplify the wood ceiling and the sense of grandeur above, simple wood slats are a backdrop for the cross, which emerges as if floating above a forest. There are new windows in the side chapels and new brighter durable flooring throughout and more durable finishes throughout the church.

Downstairs the existing kitchen has been completely redesigned and now meets current codes and the entire building has been brought up to all codes and standards, including fresh air, heating, washrooms, electrical, and lighting.

The symbolism of the original Church has been restored with a greater sense of simplicity and purity of form
