The Edmonton Zoo Vet Clinic had special requirements not typical for other Health Services projects – among other special needs there was a requirement that if a patient in the surgery woke up unexpectedly, and the patient was a tiger, the workers had to be able to get out and lock the door behind them quickly. In addition to the surgery is a laundry, quarantine area, post mortem area, and airlock vestibule. This exciting project required extremely durable finishes, tamper proof cabinets, and a shower area that was modeled after a dog bath.
